Most Brutal Metal Night Sponsored by a Car Company: Scion Metal Show
When one thinks of super-brutal, maniacal heavy metal mobiles, several modes of transit come to mind: 1970 hardtop Chevelle with flames, a super badass trike, a conversion van with an airbrushed wizard, or a Turkish taxi cab (where death metal spews from the radio 24/7). Although a Scion would never make it on this list, the car company (or maybe their marketing company) consistently sponsors the best live metal series in L.A.: Scion Metal Show. Housed as the soon to be vacated Knitting factory, The Scion Metal show brought bone-crushing slowcore, hyper frenetic goregrind, and ol' fashioned psych metal to an unassuming strip mall in Hollywood's tourist belt. Next Wednesday, October 8th, Scion brings Coalesce and Cave In for a face-smashingly great time.

Here's some videos of artists who stopped by the Metal Show this year:
Pig Destroyer (really old video, but I think you get the idea, watch when the mic breaks, and the screams continue OVER the guitars...)
Lair of the Minotaur
