Marathon Man

Liquified has been drenching dance denizens with the freshest electronic DJ events for over two decades now, and they’re marking 10 years doin’ it on the West Coast this week. NYC’s Danny Tenaglia — considered by many one of the greatest club DJs ever — takes the stage for the L.A. celebration. Bring your stamina, as he surely will (it’s being billed as “marathon” set), and expect a symphonic journey meshing house, techno and tribal rhythms. Avalon, 1735 Vine St., Hlywd.; Sat., June 20. The bleepy bashes known as Tilt & Binary present hypnotic electro-rockers Thieves Like Us’ live show and record release at the Echoplex, plus Esser and Nightwaves, and DJ sets from Short Circuit, Killed by Synth and Dancism’s Ben Oprstu. Should be a woozy ’n’ wild eve all around. 1154 Glendale Blvd., Echo Park; Fri., June 19. (Thieves, by the way, also have a DJ set at the Heist; at Florentine Gardens, 5951 Hollywood Blvd., the night before, Thursday, June 18. And since we’re mentioning this Thursday, those reading this early and not hitting the Heist should pop into the ’Plex (6/18) for Down and Derby, which will, for the first time ever, see the venue transformed into a roller rink. DJs Thee Mike B, Steve 1der and Jayceeoh will spin retro sounds to roll to. See for info.
