Listen: Rising L.A. Artist Baths Remixed by the One AM Radio, Los Feliz Ladies Choir Guests
Anticon signing Baths, with an ewok
One of our favorite up-and-coming local electronic artists has met up with one of our favorite established ones.
Los Feliz's the One AM Radio, a.k.a. the Dangerbird-signed Hrishikesh Hirway, has remixed the excellent "Halls" by recent Anticon signing Baths, and he's brought some friends in on the fun.
Hirway isn't one to half-ass this sort of thing. When he dropped the "Credible Threats" 7-inch in April, it came with 3-D glasses so that purchasers could watch the corresponding video online.
So we're not surprised that his treatment of "Halls" involved not only including, but more or less founding something called the Los Feliz Ladies Choir (video of them in action below).
Baths' full-length debut, Cerulean, is due out next Tuesday. Keep an eye on L.A. Weekly this week for more on the rising star.
And don't forget the Baths, R Kelly mashup.
