Themed parties, art-driven extravaganzas, and milestone-marking mashes make up the best happenings this week, all of which are anything but paint-by-the-numbers parties.

Commemorating 15 years of electronic music movement, the legendary Monday Social, celebrates with a DJ Mag top ranking spin-master, Dutch techno terror Sander Van Doorn. From Ibiza to London, Doorn is known for his entrancing club and festival gigs as well as his popular "identity Radio" show on Sirius. The Social, which has evolved with locale changes in LA over the years, going from a more intimate gathering of electronic music lovers to a bonafide beginning of the week banger, continues to reign thanks to promoters The Bud Brothers' top notch booking and warm vibe that's survived even amidst the bodacious, bottle service geared environs of its current home, Playhouse. 6506 Hollywood Blvd. www.Mondaysocial.com
