Echo Park producer and mastering engineer Dave Cooley, who owns Elysian Masters, has worked with a lot of LA bands you know. He's produced Silversun Pickups, Darker My Love and Mickey Avalon, among others. But it's as a mastering engineer that Cooley really seems to thrive. He's been the final ears and head tweaker on many an LA artist, and masters a lot of Stones Throw releases, from J Dilla to Peanut Butter Wolf to Madlib, as well as techno ace Matthew Dear. He's also done a lot of reissues, turning old tape into fresh remasters. He does all the knob twiddling and sonic refurbishing for the great Light in the Attic label out of Seattle.
