LA Punk Supergroup OFF! Arrested in Arizona for Hippiest Crime Ever
Pitchfork reports that LA punk supergroup OFF!, the hard-working outfit led by Black Flag and Circle Jerks' Keith Morris, has been arrested in Arizona and is facing trial.
What for, you might ask? Fighting the power? Failing to prove US citizenship? Stickering and skating? Shooting a man in Tucson just to watch him die?
Nope--OFF has been arrested for what can probably be defined as the hippiest crime ever:
According to a press release, the band members were arrested in Arizona and are now facing criminal charges for the theft of waste vegetable oil from a restaurant. (Their tour van runs on biodiesel fuel.)
They'll face trial April 6, following their tour with the terrifying Sacramento band Trash Talk. As long as they don't all get sentenced to life in prison, after that, they'll head off on a headlining West Coast trek that includes a set at Coachella.
