The L'Keg Gallery in Echo Park, which in recent months has established itself as one of the go-to places to hear some of LA's most vibrant -- and loud and obnoxious -- bands, yesterday posted a photo on it Facebook site along with an announcement that it had suffered a fire earlier this week. We're not sure of the details yet, other than the above photo and a statement from its ownership:
The fire came from outside of the space - there were no L'KEG events happening at the time. The art and equipment are fine - the roof and the door are not. Still a bummer.
The post also indicates that the gallery will be closed until further notice. This means that the potentially killer show this Friday featuring Harlem (Texas), Audacity, Blue Jungle, Cobalt Cranes and Cosmonauts is canceled, as is (obviously) Saturday's show. We'll keep you posted on any further news.
