Dark Psychedelic Rock from The Sixth Chamber Tonight at the Good Hurt
The Sixth Chamber in the burnt forests of Chatsworth, CA
Local psychedelic outfit The Sixth Chamber creates one of the biggest sounds you will ever hear inside a small club. Rahne Pistor's massive blues riffs merge with Sevan Kand's outrageously soulful wail and a propulsive rhythm section for a sound that is reminiscent of Black Sabbath and Deep Purple without sounding nostalgic.
"It's a natural advantage to know the lost classics and to have a bit of a perspective about what you are doing, but it's not something we consciously think about," Pistor said by email. "Mainly we are just trying to be in the now and see where that takes us...taking the questions of the road signs one at a time so to speak"
You can catch The Sixth Chamber tonight at The Good Hurt in Mar Vista.
