Dance Club Pick: Black Saturday

Every once and a while, the stars — and promoter schedules — align in such a way that a certain clubbing contingent gets ripped apart by two or more events. This week, the dilemma falls on the pale shoulders of the black fishnet and corset set. We won't use the word goth because nobody seems to like it anymore, but, on Saturday, July 31, dark and seductive sounds and looks of all sorts will be plentiful around town. Bar Sinister celebrates its 12th anniversary at Boardners, with DJs Scott Savak and DJ Tommy, live bands Stolen Babies & Ink Dot Boy onstage and its infamous "purgatory pleasures" loft. 1652 N. Cherokee Ave., Hlywd., Resurrection, at El Rey, offers DJs Amanda Jones, Jason Farber, Jason Lavitt and Michael Stewart spinning classic and modern hits from the darkside. 5515 Wilshire Blvd., L.A., Finally, Club Suicide's Summer School celebrates the iconic naughty schoolgirl, with indie, electro, rock, and synthpop curriculum courtesy of DJs Steven Andrew, Johnny Jewel and Xian. Dress like a schoolgirl for free admission till 11:30 p.m. 3100 Wilshire Blvd., L.A.,
