If you want to be technical, the full title of this true Culver City dive bar is Roger's Exciting Tattle Tale Room, named after longtime owner Roger Lowell. The septuagenarian has had his hands on the namesake bar for half a century, and inside it doesn't feel like much has changed in all that time. You can still buy tall boys of domestic beers from behind the bar (they lack taps) and sing along to the nightly karaoke (it's usually pretty bad). They don't serve food at the Tattle Tale, unless you count stale bar snacks, but that's not the point. Here, it's all about playing pool, shrugging off advances from the AARP members at the bar and getting just fuzzy enough to request the next song on the karaoke machine. On football Sundays, the place is also technically a Packers bar, but that doesn't mean you can't ignore the game in favor of a day drink or two.
