Sushi Iki | San Fernando Valley | Asian, Japanese | Restaurant
At Sushi Iki in Tarzana, "Crazy" Eddie Okamoto pursues the rarest and fresh seafood specimens with the relentlessness of Joe Friday. There are live scallops, ready to be popped from their shells; fresh hairy crabs a foot across; and a shucked Kumamoto oysters lashed with tangy ponzu. It's not surprising that Iki has become a cult favorite among Valley sushi hunters -- while the prices are comparable to some of the fancier fish houses in Beverly Hills, the generous portions are easily double what you'll find elsewhere.
