Pete's Cafe & Bar | Downtown | American, Coffeehouse, New American, Tea, Traditional, Bars and Clubs | Restaurant
After years as a cozy downtown L.A. cafe (it was one of the first restaurants to open in the Old Bank District), Pete's has been reworked by Josef Centeno, who's Baco Mercat is nextdoor to the old cafe. Now with swank decor and a menu that Centeno says is inspired by James Beard, the cafe is doing classic salads and burgers, but also shrimp Newburg and moules frittes.
