Native Foods Cafe | Culver City | Cafe | Restaurant
Native Foods prepares vegetarian food the way it should be, and tofu is not the be-all-to-end-all anymore. Now there are ingredients like tempeh (an Indonesian staple made with soybeans, grains and rice cultures) as well as seitan (100 percent wheat protein) that are used as delicious meat substitutes. So try the gorgeous Ghandi bowl (steamed vegetables over brown and jasmine rice, curry sauce and blackened tempeh, $8.50) or the barbecue love burger (thinly sliced seitan slathered with barbecue sauce and caramelized onions, with seasoned French fries, $6.95). Lunch and dinner seven days. No alcohol; takeout; catering; street parking.
