It's easy to miss Firefly if you're not a local or amongst the initiated. But the rustic, ivy-covered neighborhood restaurant with a wonderful back patio offers many reasons to visit: for one, there's chef Jason Travi's remarkable burrata fritters. Then there's the beef tartar: grilled bread, hand-cut beef, a bacon-flavored hollandaise sauce. On the menu you'll also find a range of California produce, quality meat and fish dishes, and a selection of seasonal specialities. Save room for pastry chef Robert Tarlow's decadent desserts including the "Let's Get Stoned": peach, brown sugar, root beer rye reduction, and bay leaf ice cream.
