For those who love sloppy Mexican food and hard-hitting margaritas, Casa Vega is your place. Since 1958 the Sherman Oaks restaurant has stood as a temple for families to enjoy a meal together, or for getting together with old friends. The ambiance is dark and vaguely candlelit, giving the feel of romance. As for the food, all of the combination platters are renowned, such as the house specialty enchiladas rancheros ($10.50) and the pollo en mole verde ($12.75). Of course there are more burritos, tostados, ensalatas and tacos than can be recounted here in this limited space. Lunch Mon.?Fri., dinner seven nights (until 1 a.m.). Full bar; takeout; valet parking. AE, DC, DIS, MC, V.
