Bin 73 | Venice/ Marina del Rey | New American | Restaurant
Along a touristy stretch of Washington Street just a block from the beach in Marina del Rey, indoor-outdoor wine bar Bin 73 takes its international grapes seriously, as indicated by the ceiling decorated with bottles. The wines – mostly Napa Valley, Italian and South American -- start at $7 for a full glass ($5 during happy hour), and you can pair your vino with some of the restaurant’s upscale nibbles. The small bites, all under ten bucks, include cheese-and-nut-covered wild grapes and crispy cauliflowers with mint, lime and chili flakes; just as eclectic is the Pinot Noir poached pear and gorgonzola salad. Heartier appetites need not grumble as the menu also features sliders and big sandwiches that pair nicely with the truffle fries, and something called the Good, Bad, Evil plate, which, for $25, comes with filet mignon, truffle macaroni-and-cheese and arugula salad.
