A small, tranquil slope, Angels Knoll sits across from downtown L.A.'s Grand Central Market, below California Plaza and adjacent to Angels Flight and the Metro Rail station at Pershing Square. Best known as the favorite spot of Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character in 500 Days of Summer, it's a true urban garden shaded by massive trees, with a great view of downtown. During daylight hours, adults and teens chat on benches, take pictures, sleep in the grass and exercise on the steps between the knoll and the street below. Bonus: There's free WiFi.
