Though the pho is better at other well-known Vietnamese restaurants, Pho Cafe is far more stylish, and the food is fresh enough, the ingredients good quality. The menu is pared down and easily mastered. Try the banh xeo appetizer, a crunchy, chewy crepe with shrimp, beef, mushrooms and bean sprouts in a turmeric-yellow flour batter and wrapped with lettuce and herbs in just-moistened rice paper. And remember the soup here the next time you have a cold; it's bound to be curative. - Michelle Huneven

Ok, now it's not a secret anymore - but this place is really the best.. -
No-nonsense restaurant and amazing pho. No sign on the outside but the place is always packed on weekend nights. I must confess that as a vegetarian I have only eaten one kind of pho there (but my meat-eating friends swear theirs is always good too). The vegetarian pho has really good broth and comes with a generous serving of lots of different kinds of mushrooms. Stop by an ATM before you come, it's cash only!
