Whether you want to break into the exciting world of comedy or just find a bunch of like-minded creatives to bounce some ideas off of, you should consider taking formal classes offered by the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Franklin Village. Classes are offered at varying levels, and take place either once a week or in a two-week intensive. At the end of the class, you perform for family and friends. Some of the best (and quirkiest) improv shows in the city – from the now-famous “Asssscat” to feature performances by well-known sitcom and movie actors – can also be found here, with lines to see them often winding down the block.
