This two-hour workshop is ideal for artists, teachers and other in the nonprofit sector who need funds for cultural, arts, educational and community programs. The instructor has raised millions in grants for nonprofits and will share a simple 5-step process that uses 10 basic building blocks to identify and secure grants.

The author and presenter for this workshop used this workbook to teach a 10-week grant writing course for UCLA Extension from 2014 thru 2016.
She secured grants and sponsorships to produce the critically-acclaimed Instrumental Women “Lady Jazz” Concert Series for nine consecutive years. Initially a City of LA Cultural Affairs grant to present the all-woman jazz instrumental production at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood; then for eight years, a co-production grant from Los Angeles County Arts Commission to present the production as part of the Summer Series at the Ford Amphitheatre in Hollywood. In 2015, her first film, “Girls Don’t Do That,” premiered at the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles.
