Rose Collective is what people who have never been to a medical marijuana dispensary must think a dispensary looks like. The all-white interior is all-bright and as clean as an operating room. Behind the reception desk is a wall of small marijuana plants just to get patients in the mood. Sitting Zen-like at a cubicle on the other side of the reception area, Peter the Master Roller puts his special spin on perfectly-shaped pre-rolls for patients.
Rose's chief marketing officer Kelsey Barney says, "All our caregivers go beyond the bud. This is one-on-one care. A lot of our patients know their problems and so do we."
Making patients feel safe is paramount, Barney says. "People feel free to bring in children. There's no scary gate or locked door," Barney says. "Our patients aren't criminals."
Rose Collective is a member of Heal the Bay and has taken on the responsibility of keeping clean the end of Rose Avenue at the Beach.
