R23 is probably the only sushi restaurant in Los Angeles that used to be a railroad loading dock. The large, design-intensive space is part-restaurant, part-gallery, part-lounge. They prepare cooked dishes as well, including noodles, tempura, roasted oysters with spicy mayo and grilled duck stuffed with Tokyo scallions.
