The East Side–dwelling younger brother to former Rat Pack hangout Dominick's in West Hollywood, Little Dom's has managed to make a name for itself beyond its sibling association. Located on a sloping corner of Hillhurst, Little Dom's sees a steady flow of diners even during what are normally off hours. Breakfast is casually set and available until 3 p.m. The entrees have an equally low-key vibe, with brunch incarnated as a paper-thin pizza layered with speck, mozzarella and a sunny-side-up egg — two eggs, if you'd like. The meatballs, dense as sausage, come with spaghetti, and a sauce on the less salty side of its Italian-American forefathers. Speaking of salt, a murmur of it helps the ricotta blueberry pancakes exceed other versions in town — just one of chef Brandon Boudet's cheeky interpretations of classics.
