Hwa Sun Ji Tea & Coffee

3960 Wilshire Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90010

  • Sun 12pm-11pm, Mon-Sat 12pm-12am
  • Takeout
Lost in the smoky haze of cigarettes and Korean BBQ that envelopes much of Koreatown is the most civilized, most quiet, most splendidly restful tea shop in town. The atmosphere at Hwa Sun Ji is that of a traditional tea house, serene and quiet and almost as if you’ve been transported to another time and place. On every table is a fun and refreshing bowl of pat-bing soo, comprised of finely shaved ice underneath sweetened red beans, watermelon, honeydew, mochi bits, condensed milk and green tea ice cream. It all needs to be eaten quickly, before the ice melts. The café also serves a wide variety of teas, cookies and light, traditional snacks.
