Located in the basement of the Townhouse, the oldest bar in Venice, Del Monte Speakeasy served as an actual speakeasy during Prohibition. Now the burlesque-inspired bar and music venue more closely resembles a dance party, with DJs spinning everything from rap to reggae five to seven nights a week. The drinks are stiff, the bartenders are friendly, and the cover is usually 10 bucks or less.
