99-Cent Only Calendar Girls Competition at the Bootleg Theater

Gendy Alimurung kicked off the weekend early and attended Thursday night's performance of Ken Roht's 99-Cent Only Calendar Girls Competition musical at the Bootleg Theater. The show pays tribute to L.A.'s favorite place for discount shopping and, with each performance, crowns a new queen of kitsch. Indie 103.1 Presents First Fridays at the Natural History Museum

Indie 103.1 FM kicked off 2009's First Fridays lecture and live music series at the Natural History Museum on Friday night. The Little Ones and Plants and Animals performed and there was certainly no shortage of taxidermied animals and other interesting things to look at in between bands. Reindeers & Spheres Opening Night at Gagosian Gallery

On Saturday night, George Ducker mingled with the rich and not-necessarily-famous at the opening of Carsten Höller's new exhibit Reindeers & Spheres. Like every other opening at Gagosian gallery, this show brought out the beautiful people by the truckload.
