Cops arrived en masse after they received a report of a man with a gun outside West Hollywood's The Comedy Store early today.

That man was said to be comedian Katt Williams, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Dave Valentine told us. He was gone when deputies arrived, and authorities are still investigating, he said: No warrant had been issued for the comedian's arrest.

That could be the least of Williams' woes, thought A new breach-of-contract lawsuit obtained by the Weekly is aimed at Williams and claims some of the folks who worked on his controversial, 2012 tour were not paid properly:

The tour included no-shows, a reported police pursuit, alleged violence, a Hummer beat-down and downright bizarre behavior on the part of the comedian.

Meanwhile, in West Hollywood, cops were called to a parking lot near the Comedy Club, which is at 8422 Sunset Blvd., about 2 a.m. based on a report of a man with a gun, Valentine said.

Williams wasn't performing, he said. He got into an argument with a patron and "they took it outside, where the gun was brandished" the sergeant said.

He said it happened "in a parking lot down the street" from the club.

TMZ reported that someone heckled Williams about his size and race, setting off the confrontation.
