See a last-minute entry in the weekend DUI derby at the bottom.

Cops are getting into the spirit of the holidays a bit early this year. They want to give you the gift of jail and express thanks for being an idiot.

Police will be cracking down on drunk drivers not once but twice in Hollywood this weekend. And there will be drunk driver checkpoints for you in the Valley, South L.A., and beyond.

Here's what we know:

-Tonight from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. extra police will be on the streets of Hollywood looking for impaired drivers. The LAPD calls it a "saturation patrol."

We want you to be thankful that you didn't get arrested. So be safe.

[Added at 1:33 p.m.]: The LAPD's Northeast Division tells us it also has a weekend DUI "task force" working an undisclosed neighborhood in its area, which includes Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Atwater Village, Mount Washington, Highland Park, Eagle Rock and more.
