Who says porn stars aren't stable, productive members of society?

Jenna Jameson told her rags-to-riches story in her autobiography, How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale, and emphasized her triumph over porn as a performer-turned-successful-businesswoman. But ... she has experienced some turbulence lately:

After an arrest on suspicion of DUI last year (and Twitter wars with on-again-off-again love Tito Ortiz) Jameson was accused over the weekend of battery.

The other party in the tiff seems to be her assistant, Britney Markham, whom Jameson accused on Twitter of being the bad girl in the matter. (The Tweet was deleted late last night).

Cops told City News Service that they responded to a citizens arrest report in the 100 block of 36th Street in Newport Beach Saturday and collared Jameson on suspicion of battery

Newport Beach police crime logs show a "citizen" report at the same location at 11:02 a.m. Saturday.

In any case, TMZ, which broke the news, says Jameson was preparing to celebrate her birthday in Anaheim Saturday night when the fracas happened.

No injuries were reported. Jameson was jailed and released.
