The Endeavour show over the skies of Los Angeles will be delayed by more than an hour this morning. The Los Angeles Police Department says that instead of the original 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. window, with an 11 landing time at LAX, the space shuttle will get a piggy back ride above Los Angeles more than an hour later with peak watching time starting around 11:40 a.m. Why?

Cloudy weather and possible fog over the Bay Area, where the shuttle is expected to visit before heading back to Southern California (it landed at Edwards Airforce Base yesterday and was hanging out there until this morning's show).

The LAPD is worried that you'll wreck yourself if you don't check yourself: It wants drivers to park in a safe place before looking skyward.

Here are some of the points of interest for the flyover, says the department:

California Science Center, Disneyland, the Getty Center, the Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles City Hall, the Aquarium of the Pacific, Malibu Beach, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, the Queen Mary, Universal Studios, and Venice Beach

Next month the shuttle will head to its permanent home at the California Science Center in Exposition Park. That trip will be by ground.
