Sasha Grey was a hardcore porn star and she's proud of it.

And now, women of the world, she wants you to know that too. In a recent NSFW YouTube video she boasts about how many "dirty things" she's done in her former career (she has since gone mainstream).

All this in the name of equal pay between men and women. Yep:

Grey is shilling for Equal Pay Day (April 17 stateside), a Belgian movement that decries that country's 22 percent gender gap when it comes to gettin' paper for men and women. (The gap is about the same in the U.S.).

The video, apparently shot in L.A., wants to shock you into understanding that women should have more options than having to use their sexuality and their bodies to equal or better men when it comes to income.

But in the process it uses Grey's sexuality (and the bodies of others who are having sex in the background) to make the point.

In fact the video is NSFW:

Grey says:

I've been hung upside down and tied up ... [crazy porn scene description]. It's something I chose to do. I'm proud of this. It's who I am. I'm Sasha Grey.

You sure are. The video ends with the kicker:

Porn is about the only way to make more money than men.

Agreed?
