So you thought the party was at Drai's or maybe Los Globos tonight. Noooo. The rager of the century is happening right in the streets of the Miracle Mile.

Levitated Mass, that rock of ages that's headed to the L.A. County Museum of Art, is scheduld to reach its destination in the wee hours. And LACMA officials are, frankly, preparing for an impromptu street party. Really.

LACMA spokeswoman Miranda Carroll tells us:

We are expecting many crowds. We're excited. We just have to be mindful of our neighbors. We don't want to be noisy or have bands.

The museum, which won't be open, is setting up free parking and porta potties in anticipation of the crowds. Carroll says that the rock probably won't arrive at the museum near Wilshire Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue until between 4 and 5 a.m. at the earliest.

Them's raver hours. "There might be an impromptu one," Carroll says.

She added that a group has organized a 5k "Running of the Rock" that will have participants shadow the 21 feet tall boulder as it makes its way to Miracle Mile for its eventual installation outside the museum.

Party people can follow the mega-pebble's progress as it heads north from the South Bay and South L.A. here and on Twitter.

Rock 'n' roll.
