Man Fatally Injured, Woman Arrested after DUI Collision near Plumas Lake

YUBA COUNTY, CA (April 25, 2024)Shelby Little was arrested early Saturday morning after a fatal DUI crash on Highway 70.

Police officers responded to the scene at approximately 1:20 a.m., near Plumas Lake on April 13th.

Reports indicate that a 55-year-old man from Olivehurst veered his red Nissan sedan off Highway 70 near the Feather River Boulevard exit.

The vehicle subsequently collided with several trees off the road before overturning onto the southbound lanes, blocking traffic in both directions.

Shortly after, 20-year-old Shelby Little from Vacaville was driving under the influence and collided with a Nissan.

The Olivehurst man lost his life due to injuries sustained in the crash.

Little has been arrested and taken to Yuba County Jail on DUI charges.

Further details about the DUI incident on Highway 70 are not available at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
