It was an eyebrow-raising escape, tweeted by Weho Daily at 1:38 a.m. today:

LAPD's Wilshire station just had an escaped prisoner... blonde girl, about 28yo, 5'9″ tall.

But they found her just before big search.

It appears that the blonde girl was non other than actress Estella Warren, who had been booked on suspicion of DUI and perhaps a few other allegations.

The 32-year-old (some reports have her as 40) was still in jail today after she allegedly crashed her Prius into three parked cars, drove away, reportedly fought with and kicked police, slipped out of her handcuffs and escaped from the station on Venice Boulevard near South La Brea Avenue before being detained again.

She was arrested about 11 last night in the 600 block of Harper Avenue near West Hollywood, according to LAPD Officer Rosario Herrera.

Her bail was set at $100,000.

Warren, a former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, stared in the 2001 version of Planet of the Apes.
