Rough year for porn. And we're not just talking about whips and chains.

Following a recent HIV-positive scandal, New York magazine reported what we all know -- that everyone's getting their adult material online for free now. What has happened to music and film is happening to porn.

Meanwhile ...

... the AIDS Healthcare Foundation has been on a crusade to force condoms on the business.

And then Charlie Sheen basically proved you can order up an adult actress about as easily as you can get pizza -- if you have the cash. And he was the bright spot for the industry. So give it some love this weekend at the annual Adultcon event at the L.A. Convention Center.

It's not AVN (Adult Video News, the industry insider confab), but you can still hang out with your favorite "actress" and buy marital aids to boot.

And dig their marketing: "If it rains, the porn stars are going to get WET."

Right?

Info.

A sometimes overlooked (but still incredibly unique) aspect of San Diego Comic-Con are the celebs available to sign autographs, as well as the autograph seekers themselves. If you've ever wanted to meet the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld or the guy who played Michelangelo in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, chances are, as you wander the Autograph Area, you'll be able to connect with someone you didn't even realize you were waiting your whole life to meet!
