Quiet day for Charlie Sheen. Eerily quiet. Too much to ask for.

And boom goes the dynamite: TMZ reports Thursday night that Los Angeles police were at Sheen's Mulholland Estates home following a possible report that he threatened to harm himself.

KCAL9 television footage depicted an army of coppers at the troubled actor's estate following a week of turmoil for him, including his firing from the hit CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men and his $100,000 million legal retort.

The station reported that police said they were at his home to investigate a possible violation of a restraining order taken out by his ex, Brook Mueller.

TMZ wonders aloud if the provision of that order barring him from possessing weapons was the source of the police response.

KCAL9 called it a raid and said cops were indeed looking for weapons. TMZ reports police were trying to take Sheen under a psychiatric-evaluation hold.

Sheen denies it, tweeting, "all good here on the homefront. all reports are false.

I'll explain more very soon.''

Mmkay.

Update: Looks like cops didn't find any weapons (although they're not commenting).

This morning City News Service reported that " ... actor Charlie Sheen and his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, have reached a custody agreement to settle the dispute over their twin sons, their lawyers said in a released statement."

Sheen tweeted, "he LAPD were AWESOME. Absolute pros! they can protect and serve this Warlock anytime!!!"
