It's always the innocent-looking ones. Alexis Neiers, convicted as part of the "bling ring" string of robberies that targeted the homes of the rich and famous, was arguably the most vocal of the bunch about her innocence.
And maybe she should have been. She had an E! reality show, Pretty Wild, in the works. Turns out that maybe the teenager is pretty wild.
She was allegedly caught with black tar heroin when probation officers came to check on her Wednesday morning, according to TMZ.
After being convicted in July for burglarizing Orlando Bloom's home (one of many allegedly targeted by the ring), she failed to check in with her probation officer, according to the site.
So they did a little door-knock this week and found the drugs -- allegedly. The Los Angeles Times also reported that Neiers had a fake Florida drivers license.
The accusations mean she has violated her probation, authorities said. And that means she could back to the slammer. She already served 180 days in jail for the burglary rap.
After the "bling ring" story broke more than a year ago, Neiers was the most vocal about her innocence, saying she was only guilty of hanging out with the wrong crowd.
"This is a difficult time for my family and myself and I can't wait for all of this to be cleared up," she said. "I've learned my lesson that I need to make some better friends and some better decisions as far as my friends go."
The ring allegedly targeted the homes of Paris Hilton, Megan Fox, Rachel Bilson, Lindsay Lohan, and Audrina Patridge.
Neiers was reportedly taken this morning the sheriff's Malibu/Los Hills station.
Update: The county Probation Department reports that probation officers and sheriff's deputies went to Neiers' residence in the 5400 block of West View Court in Westlake Village at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday to pay her a visit.
(Wow, it took them nearly four months to get around to checking on a convict who reportedly hasn't once checked in with her probation officer?).
According to probation spokeswoman Kerri Webb:
A compliance check of Ms. Neirs residence this morning found Ms. Neirs was in possession of a black substance that resembled tar heroin. Ms. Neirs also had burnt foil that is common with heroin use. Along with the items found, Ms. Neirs was in possession of a Florida Drivers license that had a fraudulent name with an untrue age.
Ms. Neirs is being detained for a probation violation and pending charges of HS11364 (possession of paraphernalia); HS11350 (possession of controlled substance); and PC530.5(identity theft).
