Alex Quintana, L.A. Homicide No. 208: 27-Year-Old Man Shot Dead In South Central

A Latino male was fatally shot just after midnight on Saturday, October 16, on the 700 block of East 24th Street in Historic South Central. The victim has since been identified as 27-year-old gang member Alex Quintana.

City News Service reports that police found Quintana in the alley between San Pedro Street and Central Avenue after receiving calls about gunfire in the area. The man had sustained wounds to his torso, an arm and a leg, according to LAPD spokesperson Gregory Baek.

Quintana was pronounced dead at the hospital.
