Houston-based Conrad Murray, the doctor who was with Michael Jackson in the hours before his August death, said through an attorney that he would come to Los Angeles and surrender to authorities if he's charged in the King Of Pop's death, according to RadarOnline.com.

Murray reportedly admits to having injected Jackson with the drug propofol before the pop star's cardiac arrest at his Holmby Hills home in June, and there are many reports that the Los Angeles District Attorney's office is preparing to charge the doctor with some alleged criminal act.

The attorney, Michael Flanagan, seems concerned with the possibility that Murray will be arrested and paraded before the media in handcuffs, imagery that could taint prospective jury pools regarding Murray's guilt or innocence.

"I believe the D.A. would be inclined to allow me to surrender him," he told RadarOnline.com, "but they have no control over the LAPD who have the final decision on what to do with Dr. Murray if he is charged."
