Murder was the Case: LA Homicide No. 248, Victim Identified in Fatal Downtown Hotel Stabbing

A man who was fatally stabbed at a downtown Los Angeles hotel has been identified as 58-year-old Tommy Jackson. According to police reports, Jackson and his attacker began arguing around 9 p.m. on October 15 at the hotel in the 800 block of East 7th Street.

Jackson was stabbed multiple times with two knives. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died. The attacker was arrested at the scene. It was unclear whether the two men were guests at the hotel. Anyone with information should contact Newton Division detectives at 323-846-5363.
