Murder Was the Case: L.A. Homicide No. 200, Teenager Shot in South L.A.

Daquan Allen, 13, was shot to death August 16 in South Los Angeles.

The shooting happened in the 8800 block of South Broadway at 12:15 p.m. According to preliminary reports the teenager was shot while he was walking down the street with another person. There was no confirmed information if the location of the crime was the victim's home. According to police, though the shooting is apparently gang-related, Allen was not believed to have been a gang member. He was shot twice in the upper torso and later died of his injuries at a hospital.
