The Los Angeles Conservancy's roaming film series Last Remaining Seats shows Wings in the Theatre at the Ace Hotel. William "Wild Bill" Wellman's 1927 drama about two young WWI flyboys (Charles "Buddy" Rogers and Richard Arlen) in love with the same girl (Clara Bow) took home the first Oscar for Best Picture. In addition to featuring some of the most thrilling aerial photography of its era (Wellman was a veteran fighter pilot), it's a surprisingly tender bromance.
