Halloween is one of the all-time horror classics, and fans make pilgrimages every year to this South Pasadena neighborhood, where much of the fictional town of Haddonfield, Ill., was shot. Located next door to the original Myers’ home (where masked murderer Michael Myers killed his sister), SugarMynt Gallery hosts its third annual movie- and holiday-themed group show, featuring more than 30 artists. Among the photographs, paintings, prints and mixed-media on display are original, signed stills by Halloween unit photographer Kim Gottlieb-Walker, as well as concept drawings from the 1993 film Hocus Pocus by Giacomo Ghiazza. Reception Sat., Sept. 16, includes a DJ, food trucks, drinks and artist appearances.
