Siegfried Morton is disenchanted with his life. He is bored testing on rats for his research and working as a psychologist at Whitemore Psychiatric Facility, that is, until he meets his feisty new patient, Delores Ayre. Delores is a provocative, yet vulnerable young woman, a sex-addict in recovery, who has been recently hospitalized at Whitemore for an attempted suicide. Sexually fixated and intrigued by her, the oppressed Siegfried transfers his "resiliency factors" studies from rats onto Delores, a much more tantalizing subject. How much can Delores take from his cruel and unethical "experiment" until she breaks? Or perhaps it is Siegfried who didn't anticipate his own vulnerability in the process.
