New Art Gallery in Studio City Presents First Exhibition
Opening Night reception for EROTIC CREATURES: The Photographs on Saturday, April 29, 2017
LOS ANGELES, CA – April 16, 2017 - Gallery Studio, a new art gallery and photo studio in Studio City’s Tujunga Village, celebrates its opening on April 29, 2017 with its inaugural exhibition and reception for EROTIC CREATURES: The Photographs, a five-year retrospective revealing the true heart of a woman by fine art photographer Kristina Lloyd. Exhibit will display at the Gallery Studio through May 31, 2017. Reservations are required to attend the opening night reception. RSVPs can be made to fineartimagerybyKristinaLloyd@gmail.com.
This retrospective exhibit features dancers in motion, women expressing their sensual nature, the so-called Erotic Creatures. Each photo is an alchemy between the dancer, the lighting designer Nicholas F. Leland, and the artist, Kristina Lloyd.
"What is unique about these photographs is that they could never be re-created, every element is moving in the moment captured. It is this moment in time that is a unique expression for each woman," says Kristina Lloyd. Over 60 dancers were shot for the series over the past five years. "It began as an organic process from my personal view on each dancer, growing from my desire to reflect back to her the beauty that I saw in her dance."
A photographer since age 5, Kristina Lloyd has been working professionally since high school, lately shooting live dance, although she is also known for shooting film stills and theatre productions, editorial, fashion and portraiture, and has been internationally published. She is also an award-winning filmmaker.
