Finding the perfect preschool for your child can be stressful. Luckily, the MOMS Club of Silver Lake is here to help make the process easier – they’re hosting their annual preschool forum at Ivanhoe Elementary School on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 9:30 to 11:30 am.
Attendees to the event, which will be held at 2828 Herkimer Street, will get to meet and hear presentations by representatives from more than 20 local preschools. The forum is likely to sell out, so it’s best to reserve your spot now; the entry fee is $4 for those who register early at https://slpreschool.eventbrite.com, or $5 at the door. The fee includes a detailed digital information booklet (a valuable resource); A limited number hard copies are also available for purchase. The event will be held in an indoor auditorium; no play area will be provided. Free parking will be available in the lower lot of the campus.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Project Sleep Tight, a charity that provides supplies for children under five living in local shelters. Attendees are invited to bring new or gently used books, socks, blankets, stuffed animals, and pajamas.
A chapter of the International MOMS Club, the MOMS Club of Silver Lake was founded in 2004, and now has over 100 members in Silver Lake, Echo Park, and Atwater Village. The club provides support to new mothers, as well as activities of interest to mothers and their children and service projects to benefit families in our community. We are a dynamic and diverse community, much like our neighborhood. We enrich each other's lives with shared resources, support, and friendship. Really, we just have a lot of fun...and our children do too!
