Fans of sleazy glam metal, rejoice — some of the genre’s very greatest will join forces for a whole day of hard-rock anthems, power ballads, crunching riffs and intricate solos. The hair might not be as big anymore, but the bubble-gum tunes will be present and correct. Vince Neil and Bret Michaels top the lineup, both attempting to reignite solo careers but likely to play a whole lot of Mötley Crüe and Poison songs, respectively. The bottom of the bill is arguably more interesting, as no one really knows what to expect from Odin and Tuff in 2016. But there’s simply too much fun to be had. Vixen follows Britny Fox follows Bullet Boys follows Loudness — the mixtape you could make with these bands would be immense. The Irvine Meadows amphitheater is due to close for good in October, so it’s only fitting that a bunch of veteran rockers will help see the old place off with a bang.
