With more interest in the food industry these days than ever, this documentary directs our attention to the hands that pick it. Narrated by Forest Whitaker, the film focuses on an intrepid group of tomato pickers working to ensure a dignified life for farm workers and a more humane, transparent food chain. A panel discussion between director Sanjay Rawal, Joann Lo (executive director of the Food Chain Workers Alliance), and Jon Esformes (operating partner of Pacific Tomato Growers) follows the screening.
