Fans know Corey Taylor as the front man of Slipknot and Stone Sour, but since 2012, he’s also been a busy author. In 2015’s You’re Making Me Hate You: A Cantankerous Look at the Common Misconception That Humans Have Any Common Sense Left, the heavy metal singer vented about how stupid people can be, particularly bad children, bad drivers and bad music. In his fourth book, America 51: A Probe Into the Realities That Are Hiding Inside “The Greatest Country in the World,” which he signs today, Taylor channels his rage into politics. Using Trump — (or as Taylor calls him, “a jackass cunt of an orange billionaire”) — as a starting off point, Taylor sounds off on American history, religion, racism, the Clintons and Reagan, as well as reflects on what it’s like to experience America while touring in a band.
