Co-organized by Audubon Los Angeles, Bird L.A. Day invites bird and nature lovers to observe and celebrate the 400-plus species of our fine, feathered friends in L.A. County. Walks, talks, picnics, art and other bird-related activities take place in dozens of locations throughout the city, from Downtown to Long Beach, including the Natural History Museum, LACMA, Los Angeles River, Descanso Gardens and Aquarium of the Pacific. The Ace Hotel hosts its own bird watching on its rooftop; they’ll supply binoculars, visual aids and park maps, as well as cocktails and beer, plus a National Park Service ranger from the Santa Monica Mountains will be on hand for a Q&A.
